Aardvark is a language services company based in the historic city of York, England.
We provide project-managed translation and interpreting services in a variety of languages.
Aardvark was founded by our Managing Director, Nathaniel Elcock.
“I started Aardvark because I have a passion for languages and saw a need for a personalised, high quality translation and interpreting service – a need which was not being met by many language service providers. Aardvark came into being in 2010, and was incorporated the following year.
As Managing Director, I oversee the day-to-day business, and personally ensure that our high quality standards are maintained. I also drive our broader business strategy. Being a trained translator and conference interpreter is a distinct advantage, as it gives me a comprehensive understanding of the professions, and of our clients’ expectations.
My professional training, coupled with my interest in technology, means that I can enable the company to change sympathetically to developments within the industry, while continuing to tailor our services to our clients’ needs.
Alongside my role at Aardvark, I am also Associate Lecturer in Translation at the University of York and Honorary Secretary of the National Networks for Interpreting and Translation (NNI & NNT).
I hope you enjoy browsing our website, and if I can be of any assistance, please do get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org“
